I’m Javier Vicente — a speculative fiction author with a background in engineering and decision-support systems for healthcare. Working at the intersection of data, uncertainty, and human fragility shaped the way I build worlds: structured, logical, and full of rules that make sense until the moment they don’t.
Years spent studying how people make decisions under pressure taught me something essential: most stories begin when someone does the one thing they weren’t supposed to do. My work follows what happens after that — when a system breaks, when consciousness shifts, when something vast wakes up and ordinary lives are the first to feel the fracture. The focus isn’t spectacle. It’s consequence.
